"#1 Contender's Match" (segment)
Shane McMahon, Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan & Ned Edgewalker
Shane McMahon comes out with Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan. They announce that later in the night there will be a match to decide who fights Goldberg at the Battleground PPV between son and father; David and Chris Benoit. Ned Edgewalker comes out and says that that's unfair, seeing as how he decisively beat Hulk Hogan the week prior, infuriating Hogan. McMahon then announces that he doesn't think Edgewalker is championship material, but he'll have a different match at Battleground. McMahon then says Edgewalker has a match that night and it's next, after which the three leave the ring.

"Ned Edgewalker & Santino Marella vs the Authority" (brawl)
Alberto Del Rio, Big Daddy V, Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan, Santino Marella & Ned Edgewalker
After Santino's knockout defeat at the hands of ADR, Big Daddy V and Kevin Nash, the trio continues their assault on him. This prompts Ned Edgewalker to come out with a chair and help Santino. He successfully fends off Kevin Nash and Big Daddy V, but Alberto Del Rio hits him with a running enzuigiri. Kevin Nash then gets up and gives Edgewalker a jacknife powerbomb onto the steel chair, followed by a simultaneous running elbow/leg drop from Big Daddy V and Hulk Hogan. Santino slowly gets to his feet and tries to help Edgewalker but is quickly put in an armlock by Alberto Del Rio.

"Washed Up" (segment)
David Benoit & Chris Benoit
After David wins his #1 contender's match by John Laurinaitis's cheating tactics, he grabs a microphone. He says that maybe his father would have thought to win a similar way if he wasn't so unintelligent and washed up. David says that from the first time he can remember, his father has always been stupid and made stupid decisions. As David continues talking, Chris comes up behind him with a steel chair. As Chris swings, David ducks and kicks the steel chair back in Chris's face. David then clotheslines Chris over the top rope and tosses the steel chair out onto him to end the show.
